편평상피세포암(SCC)은 두 번째로 흔한 피부암입니다. 표피의 표층을 구성하는 편평상피세포에서 발생합니다.
BCC와 달리, SCC는 전이 가능성이 있습니다. 약 2~5%가 림프절로 전이됩니다. 일반적으로 붉고 단단한 결절이나 비늘 모양의 딱지가 있는 평평한 병변으로 나타납니다.
