Acral lentiginous melanoma: हथेली, तलवा, नाख़ून का skin cancer

हथेली/तलवा: Irregular pigmented patch — brown, black, या multi-colored। न मिटने वाले bruise जैसा।

नाख़ून के नीचे (subungual मेलेनोमा): cuticle से tip तक dark vertical streak। हर dark streak मेलेनोमा नहीं — pigmented bands dark skin में common। Warning: 3mm+ wide; multiple colors; widening; pigment surrounding skin तक (Hutchinson sign)।

भारतीयों में acral lentiginous सबसे common मेलेनोमा subtype। तलवा और अंगूठे का नाख़ून सबसे ज़्यादा affected। UV major risk factor नहीं — sun exposure level कुछ भी हो, equal occurrence।

भारत में सालाना मेलेनोमा cases comparatively कम — पर late detection से outcomes अक्सर खराब।

Monthly acral check 2 मिनट: दोनों हथेलियाँ (finger gaps और lines सहित); mirror/phone camera से दोनों तलवे (toe gaps सहित); सभी हाथ-पैर के नाख़ून; मुँह।

Example: नया dark spot, फैलते patch, नाख़ून में dark streak, न ठीक होने वाले घाव।

चोट से subungual hematoma नाख़ून growth के साथ हफ़्तों-महीनों में बाहर निकल जाता है। Fungal infection yellowing/thickening करता है, dark streak नहीं।

ALM: नाख़ून growth से unaffected, समय के साथ widen हो सकती है। हथेली/तलवे का dark spot 1+ महीने रहे या trauma history के बिना नाख़ून streak — dermatologist।
