नाख़ून का मेलेनोमा: Hidden skin cancer

Typical sign: cuticle से tip तक जाने वाली brown या black vertical streak (longitudinal melanonychia)। हर dark streak मेलेनोमा नहीं है।
Warning signs: streak 3mm+ wide; बहुत dark color या multiple shades; streak फैल रही हो; pigment नाख़ून के around skin तक फैले (Hutchinson's sign); नाख़ून cracking या deformed।

Hutchinson's sign
अगर brown या black pigment नाख़ून के नीचे से surrounding cuticle या nail folds में फैल जाए, उसे Hutchinson's sign कहते हैं। यह मेलेनोमा का strong indicator है, urgent biopsy ज़रूरी।
