Chronic UV damage से होने वाला सबसे common precancerous lesion। Sandpaper जैसा खुरदुरा। 5-10% cancer में बदलते हैं।

स्क्वैमस सेल कार्सिनोमा (SCC) दूसरा सबसे common skin cancer है। यह epidermis की ऊपरी परत की squamous cells से शुरू होता है।

एक्टिनिक केराटोसिस skin की सबसे common precancerous lesion है। यह chronic sun-exposed areas पर होता है। Rough, scaly, सूखे patch जैसा दिखता है — कई बार दिखने से पहले महसूस होता है। लगभग 5-10% cases SCC में progress कर सकते हैं।
